From My Heart to Yours!

There is an old saying, "Confession is good for the soul." Well, I'm not sure this is confession time or a way the Holy Spirit has been dealing with my heart!

Over the last few months I have noticed a strange occurrence in my life. Until then I have been so critical of others that I would not take the time to fellowship with my sisters in other faiths. My idea was, "Well, if you didn't believe just like I do, I just don't have time for you!" Was love really there? It sure was not the kind that helped me accept others! But, God through His grace and mercy guided me to a group of Pastor's Wives. To ladies who have never seen my face or heard my voice. You love me because of the testimony I have for my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! You express to me how we are sisters in Christ and the common bond we have as pastor's wives. Thank God for you all! You have been my mentors, teachers, mothers, sisters and ministers. But, most of all you have been my FRIENDS!

I wish there was some way through this amazing thing we call cyberspace that I could open my heart, to let you see the boundless love I have for each one of you.

God spoke to me recently in a time of prayer and fasting that took place at the church! He brought to my rememberance, Malachi 2:10. God dealt with me as the verse spoke of Him being the same God that created us all. I pray that God will richly bless each one of you. I pray that He will give you souls for your labor. Praise God for dear precious sisters in Christ.

As Jude verse 3 says... we should earnestly contend for the faith.... He goes on to say in verses 24 and 25, "Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God Our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
In His Service, Msp6830 (Lisa)

Heb 10:24-25 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (NKJ)

Joy In The Kitchen Chats

As the chats continue to become popular and grow in numbers, we find it necessary to request that you follow a few simple guidlines to ensure a healthy and productive chat. These guidlines come from observing not only our own chats, but many others on the net as well:

1. Please be considerate of others being careful not to interrupt while they are finishing a thought. (This goes for those of us who are fast typers as well. . . . . some don't type as fast and may have a need to share - don't sweat the pauses!) LOL

2. While in a formal chat, please refrain from using macros or chat sounds. In the informal - open chats, ask first before you do (that will prevent your art work from being split up as well).

3. Since we are all in the ministry, there will be times when everyone of us has the "preach" on them. Please stay with the topic being discussed and be considerate of the Host and Co-Host in charge. (If you have something that you feel strongly that you would like to share, please IM the Host first to coordinate your comments)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION!

1 Cor 14:40 Let all things be done decently and in order. (NKJ)

Update on public chat

Christianity Online has asked us to go public with a Pastor's Wives Chat. I spoke with them this past week to work out some details, and we have agreed to begin this part of the ministry in AUGUST. This chat will take the time slot of the Tuesday morning chat. The purpose of this is to help expose other pastor's wives to one another and this ministry, as well as just plain ole' meeting a need. The flavor will be a little different since it is in the public eye - more structured and "G" rated. . . LOL (If you know what I mean)

Continue to pray as this ministry continues to grow, for wisdom, integrity, and administration, as well as the right people to come along side as a team.

SARAH'S TENT?

We need a name for this ministry! Put your thinking caps on. . . . . . . . . God has birthed a baby here and it needs a name! A name that was suggested in a chat was "Sarah's Tent" with Isaiah 54:2-3 as a reference verse. How about it family? So far I have had one vote - and it was for Sarah's Tent. . . what is your thought?

Slow Dance
(Submitted by PattieRWR)

Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round,
or listened to rain slapping the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight,
or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down,
don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.
Do you run through each day on the fly,
when you ask "How are you",
do you hear the reply?
When the day is done,
do you lie in your bed,
with the next hundred chores running through your head?
You better slow down,
don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.
Ever told your child,
we'll do it tomorrow,
and in your haste, not seen his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
let a good friendship die,
'cause you never had time to call and say "hi".
You better slow down,
don't dance so fast,
time is short, the music won't last.
When you run so fast to get somewhere,
you miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
it is like and unopened gift thrown away.
Life is not a race,
so take it slower,
hear the music before the song is over.

"HEAVEN'S GROCERY STORE"

I was walking down life's highway a long time ago. One day, I read a sign that said Heaven's Grocery Store. As I got a little closer, the door opened wide. When I came to myself, I was already standing inside and saw a host of Angels. They were standing everywhere. One handed me a basket and said, "My Child, shop with Love".

Everything a Christian needed was in the grocery store. First, I got some PATIENCE. LOVE was in the same row. Farther down was UNDERSTANDING. You need that everywhere you go. I got a box or two of WISDOM and a bag or two of FAITH. I couldn't miss the HOLY SPIRIT, it was all over the place. I stopped to get STRENGTH. SALVATION was free, so I took enough of that for both you and me.

As I went up the aisle, I saw PRAYER. I took some for I know that when I go outside, I would run right into sin. PEACE and JOY were plentiful. They were on the last shelf. SONGS and PRAISES were hanging near so I helped myself.

Then I started to pay my grocery bill for I thought I had everthing I need for the Master's will. I said to the Angel, "How much do I owe you?" He smiled and said, "My Child, Christ paid for them for you a long, long time ago. All things, whatever you ask in prayer, believe you shall receive.

US AGAINST THEM?

As a child, I grew up in a denominational church.
I was convinced
that if you weren't that particular denomination,
Well, you were going to Hell.

As a young adult, I found myself in a Charismatic church.
I was conviced
that if you weren't what I was,
you were going to Hell.

As I've grown older and wiser, I've come to realize
that we are ALL God's children,
and desperately need each other in this evil day
No wonder the Devil told me that stuff!
He needed to keep us separated, so he could devour us,
one by one.
(JoyfulArt))

JUST A THOUGHT. . . . . As you receive your new Buddy Lists, be aware of the temptation to separate yourselves to those with like opinions. As Iron sharpens Iron, so does fellowshipping with others of differing opinions and backgrounds. (Who knows, besides building your own character - you just might learn something!) A fruit salad wouldn't be nearly so interesting and pleasing to enjoy if there was only one fruit in the bowl. It takes many kinds and varieties of fruit to make the most wonderful and flavorful of salads! (What kind of a FRUIT are you? LOL.) . . . . . . .JUST A THOUGHT!
