There's JOY in the Kitchen when
Jesus is the center of our conversations, and
"I'll have another cup!" is often
heard. What an
exciting this month has been! So many to meet and
get to know! Who would have ever guessed that in
just a short month we would go from not knowing
any friends in ministry (or just a few) to
knowing them all over the country!! Where else
can you get to know others from all
denominations, and backgrounds? It has been asked
if this support system is only for Pastor's
wives. Since I am one, I knew first hand the need
to communicate with other's in the same position.
However, ANY spouse of a minister is going to
meet up with situations that only another
minister's wife will understand. So to answer
that question ~ NO! This is a ministry to ALL
wives of ministers who are in need of fellowship
and encouragement. Didn't Paul say, "Let the
older women teach the younger?" What an
amazing tool we now have in our hands to mentor
one another than what AOL provides! Pass on the
word! All are welcome!
"I am only
one; but still I am one. I cannot do everything,
but still I can do something. I will not refuse
to do the something I can do." ~ Helen
Keller ~

FRIENDS WITHOUT
FACES
We sit and we type, and we stare at our screens
We all have to wonder, what this possibly means.
With our mouse we roam, through the rooms in a
maze
Looking for something or someone, as we sit in a
daze.
We chat with each other, we type all our woes
Small groups we do form, and gang up on our foes.
We wait for somebody, to type out our name
We want recognition, but it is always the same.
We give kisses and hugs, and sometimes flirt
In IMs we chat deeply, and reveal why we hurt.
We do form friendships - but - why we don't know
But some of these friendships, will flourish and
grow.
Why is it on screen, we can be so bold
Telling our secrets, that have never been told?
Why is it we share, the thoughts in our mind
With those we can't see, as though we were blind?
The answer is simple, it is as clear as a bell.
We all have our problems, and need someone to
tell.
we cna't tell real people, but tell someone we
must
So we turn to the 'puter, and to those we can
trust.
Even though it is crazy, the truth still remains
They are Friends Without Faces, and odd little
names.
QUESTIONS ~
QUESTIONS We all have them. We all get
them! Here are three questions for you to answer
for me, the first is really easy. The last two
may take some thought.
1. What is your birthday? We would like to know
so that we can send you
birthday greetings to cheer you up! Please send
them to JoyfulArt.
2. In your journey as the wife of a minister,
what is the most common
question you have that frequently comes to your
mind regarding your role?
Remember, you are asking 20 other pastor's wives.
. . . . . who just might
have an answer for you!
3. As a pastor, or minister, your husband will
voice certain frustrations
regarding the ministry. What is on HIS heart?
What question/s is HE asking?

BOOKS TO READ!
We all periodically come across books that we
know others would enjoy. I would like to share
with you some of these books, and encourage you
to send me your favorites as well so that I can
pass them on.
1. "Why Lord, Why?" & "When
Lord, When?" = Joyce Meyer
There are so many things
that can be included in this newsletter! You may
have a question that you would like to ask other
Pastor's Wives, an inspiring story or testimony,
a funny happening from your congregation,
children, or from your marriage. Perhaps you have
enjoy writing and would like to simply share your
gift with us. . . . . . Please feel free to
contribute, comment and suggest. This newsletter
is for you, and preferably from you. I don't mind
doing the footwork, but I'm sure you would get
tired of always hearing from me, and not from
anyone else!
