~ There's JOY in the
Kitchen ~
~When we realize that ~
Most of the things worth doing in the world
had been declared impossible before they were
done.
Have you ever caught yourself saying this?
"I'm just so busy!" "I know I
should spend more time
_______(praying/witnessing/worshiping/etc.) more,
but I
just can't seem to find the time!" or
"I"m just so busy! How could I
possibly.
. . . "
Truthfully, all of that IS the truth. And no, YOU
can't possibly find the time
to do all of these things. ". . . but with
God all things are possible."
Matthew 19:26. Because of HIS grace and HIS
mercy, we have what we need, when
we need it. All He asks us to do and be is to
listen and be available. He'll
work out the rest.
When Teri was asked, "How do you enter the
Throne Room?"
this is what she had to say;
"To find time in the throne room, to me is a
wake up call....
My first decision was just to be available to the
Spirit of God. One night I
woke up and could not sleep, so instead of
counting sheep, I got up and
decided to pray in the Holy Ghost....
I felt a burden that I did not understand, but
prayed until I felt a release
inside. The next day God used me to minister to
some one in need, and the
Spirit of God reminded me of the night before...
At first I thought it was unfair to not sleep
but, seriously, what is sleep?
Many people say they have to catch up on their
sleep when really sleep comes
new every night... I took a step of faith and
believed God that He would
refresh me the next day...
I find that some people can get in bondage
saying, I have to get up at this
time, or I have to do this at this time during
the day, but that isn't God...
As He prompts us, we just need to obey, whether
that be mid-day to spend time
with him or the middle of the night. As we obey
that prompting, we see mighty
things happen for His glory. We can trust that
His promping will be at a good
time as well. God knows our schedule and he
realizes what is a time waster in
our lives and what is not. So when He prompts,
maybe we should look and see
what we are doing, whether that is a time waster
or not....
There are no rules or regulations on the times,
places and days of spending
time with him, just a yearning, then obedience...
as we yeild to Him, we can
expect His presence to be revealed more and more
in our lives."
- - - - - - - - - -
Now, isn't that easy? Didn't He say to cast our
burdens upon Him and, that His
yoke was light? Then why do we put so much upon
ourselves. You are right when
you say, "I can't." Because YOU really
can't. "It's not by might, nor by
power, but by MY Spirit says the Lord."
(Zech 4:6) How do YOU enter the Throne
Room?
She that has
learned to obey will know how to command.
(Proberbs 10-8)
You Can Bank On
It
Imagine you had a bank account that each morning
credited your account with
$1440 with ONE condition: whatever part of the
$1440 you failed to use during
the day would be erased from your account and no
balance would be carried
over.
What would you do? You'd draw out EVERY cent
EVERY day and use it to your
best advantage.
Well, you do have such a bank and it's name is
TIME. Every morning, this bank
credits you with 1440 minutes. And it writes off
as forever lost whatever
portion you have failed to invest to good
purpose. ~ Sent in by CWeimer4

The Savior
He didn't have to, but He did...
He left His glorious abode,
To walk our dusty, lonesome road.
He left His throne and His glory.
The rest is one amazing story.
He loved the unlovable,
Touched the untouchable.
He beat the devil at his own game.
The lives he touched would never be the same.
He walked among us through sun and rain.
He knew our needs and felt our pain.
He was scorned and deserted by foe and friend,
But He loved and forgave all the way to the end.
He didn't have to, but He did...
He could have gone the easy way,
And not have faced that awful day,
In just His Word He had the power.
He did not have to face the final hour.
At any time He could have quit.
When they nailed His hands or when they cursed
and spit.
He could have called ten thousand angels to set
Him free,
But He died alone for you and for me.
Even through the pain of His horrible death,
Even as He fought for every breath,
He forgave His abusers,
He loved HIs accusers,
He blessed those who cursed Him,
And willingly died for their sin.
He suffered what seems impossible to endure,
All to make our Salvation sure.
It is important to remember the cost of
Salvation,
Along with the joy of His Resurrection.
Easter's joy is not complete.
Without the holes in His hands and feet.
He didn't have to, but I am so glad He did!!!

~ QUESTIONS,
QUESTIONS ~
In answer to last weeks newsletter question;
". . . as the wife of a minister, what is
the most common question you have
that frequently comes to your mind regarding your
role?";
"How do I balance challenging my husband to
be better with
assuring him that I am proud of him?"
POT LUCK !
How about SLOPPY JOES ? This is a great recipe
that my Mom used to make. When
I was in Youth, there was never enough to go
around - it went so fast!
(Takes about 2 hrs. preparation) (This recipe
makes enough for 5-6 servings)
So, obviously, you will need to multiply
accordingly.
1 1/4 # hamburger 1 Tablespoon Worchestershire
Sauce
1 chopped onion 1 bottle catsup
1 Tablespoon brown sugar 1 lrg. celery chopped
1 cap lemon juice 1 chopped green pepper
salt & pepper to taste
Brown hamburger & onions. Then add rest of
ingredients (except lemon)
which you add around 15 minutes before serving.
Simmer 2 hours. ENJOY!
If you have a favorite recipe to share - we would
all love to partake! (hint-hint)
