PRESSURE TO PRAISE!
It is important that we, as Pastor's wives,
mentor the women in our church.
Paul said, "Let the older women teach the
younger, how they may love their
husbands." Sometimes that is a hard thing to
do! Let alone teach other women
how to do it! BUT! We know that our answer lies
in God and His Word.
His Word says that God dwells in the praises of
His people. Whether it is our
own struggle that we are found lacking, or a
weeping woman across from you in
the restaurant, when we make it a lifestyle to
become true worshipers and
women of praise, we will find that the answers
are not that far away. Our
victories lie in praise. Therefore, let's begin
teaching the women in our care
how to enter into praise - as we enter in
ourselves!
Trish (Tcmah96), offers aBible study this prayer.
This might help you if you
are needing material to aid you in finding study
material.

~ QUESTIONS, QUESTIONS ~
The question was asked last week about, "How
do I give my husband constructive
criticism without creating strife?"
We discussed that issue in our Tuesday morning
chat and discovered that before
we offer our advice, it's best to check out our
motives and pray, seeking God
on what it is that we are really seeing. Is it
our "problem solving" husband
working out the problems outloud, or is he really
discouraged or depressed and
needing encouragement? Are we really listening to
what he is trying to say? Or
passing judgement?
Perhaps a better way would be to cover him in
prayer, listen to him carefully,
and ask constructive questions to help him sort
out his thoughts. Regarding
motives, here is a thought; are we ourselves
dealing with pride? Fear? Or are
we sensing something in the spirit that needs to
be dealt with? In that case,
again, we need to pray and ask for timing.
In everything we do, we must realize that we are
not fighting flesh and blood.
Whatever the issue, it is not our husband that is
the problem, neither is it
the congregation, or trouble makers who are the
problem. Our battle lies in
our own minds and hearts. What emotions, thoughts
and actions are you dealing
with in your own life? Can you compare them to
Galations 5? Are they fruits of
the Spirit? Or are they fruits of the flesh? Are
we walking in God's love? As
we check our hearts, are we finding a log in our
own eye while trying to take
out the speck in our husbands eye? - - - - - -
Just a thought
Do you have a question which you would like see
discussed? Just drop me a line
with it - even if you may know the answer -
someone else might be asking it!
NEXT QUESTION: "How do you respond to
someone who has left your church in a
bad way, when you are continually
"bumping" into them at other meetings
or
public places?" Paul said to not even eat
with them (1 Corin. 5:11) "Does that
mean that we ignore them? Pretend that they don't
exist? What about others who
fellowship with them, do we ignore them
also?"
