We are the reason
By CWEIMER4
We were the reason He was born that day
so long ago in a manger of hay
He came to save us this is true
>From a life without the God He knew
He came as just a little child
Into a world that was so wild
It is a wonder He came at all
And that he came into a stall
He deserved the very best
The mighty King above the rest
But from the start His love was shown
Through tender humility all his own
He came this way to teach us all
That life's beginnings make us neither great or
small
It is what's inside that makes the man
Truly worthy for God's great plan
He came that day for you and me
To show a truth that would set you free
We were the reason He was born that day
Let His love shine this joyous holiday
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
For unto us a child is born, unto us a
son is given... And His name shall be Wonderful
Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father
the Prince of Peace.

The Me He Sees
Submitted by: CharGerow:
I long to see the Me
God sees when He looks at me
A Future full of Promise
A Hope of Things to Come
A Warrior in the Ranks
Worshipper of the Son
Who falls on Callused Knee
And weeps Tears of Light
Who stands firm through Days of War
And Battles through the Night
But all I see is the Me
I've always known me to be
With easily turned ankle
And easily caught eye
And hands that shake in doubt
Gripped on Sword held not-so-high
With ill-measured words
And poorly kept will
And a heart that lusts for simple things
And refuses to stand still
O God! That I would be
The Me I know You see!

These things Have I spoken unto you,
that My joy may remain in you
and that your joy may be full

My First Christmas In Heaven
This poem was written by a 13 year old
boy who died of a brain tumor that he had battled
four years. He died on December 14, 1997. He gave
this to his mom before he died. His name was Ben.
I see the countless Christmas trees around the
world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting
on the snow
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the
tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ
this year.
I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold
so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with the
Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices
bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels
sing.
I know how much you miss me, I see the pain
inside your heart
But I am not so far away, We really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones, You know I hold
you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus
Christ this year.
I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly
home above.
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure
gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus
told.
Please love and keep each other, as my Father
said to do.
For I can't count the blessing or love He has for
each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear
Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus
Christ this year.
For our citizenship is in Heaven, from which
we also eagerly wait for the Savior, The Lord
Jesus Christ

Recipe
>From PrasHM (Kellie)
This recipe comes from: The Simple Times
(Semimonthly mag on simple living by Deborah
Taylor-Hough)
My recipe for hot spiced cider is one of those
throw-it-together-as-you-go recipes, but I'll try
to explain the process as best I can.
First, I take a large jug of apple cider (a
gallon usually, if we're entertaining). Then I
pour the cider into a large pot on the stove (or
into the crockpot if I don't want to use a
burner). Heat to a simmer. Then add the following
ingredients to the cider:
~about one cup of frozen orange juice
concentrate (this ingredient is a MUST)
~approximately two teaspoons (more or less) of
EACH of the following:
Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Ginger, Cloves (whole or
ground)
~and sometimes I add about one cup (or less) of
cranberry juice cocktail
Let it all simmer for a while (half an hour at
least). The smell wafting through the house while
the cider is simmering is simply heaven.
Mmmmmmmm....
Serve the hot spiced cider in mugs. For a nice
touch, add a whole cinnamon stick to each mug.
Having a large pot of cider simmering on the
stove when company arrives is a sure way to make
them very happy that they chose to come over to
your house.

CHUCKLES
sent in by: Tcmah96
A new business was opening and one of the
owner's friends wanted to send flowers for the
occasion. They arrived at the new business site
and the owner read the card. It said, "Rest
in Peace."
The owner was angry and called the florist to
complain. He let the florist know in no uncertain
terms how angry he was about the obvious mistake.
The florist wisely diffused the man's anger
when he calmly said, "Sir, I'm really sorry
for the mistake, but just imagine this: somewhere
there is a funeral taking place today, and they
have flowers with a note saying,
"Congratulations on your new location!"

A father was reading Bible stories to his
young son. He read, "The man named Lot was
warned to take his wife and flee out of the city,
but his wife looked back and was turned to
salt." His son asked, "What happened to
the flea?"
