ALL OF US MUST BECOME BETTER INFORMED.
IT IS NECESSARY FOR US TO LEARN FROM OTHERS’
MISTAKES. YOU
WILL NOT LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE THEM ALL YOURSELF. – Hyman G. Rickover
OPPORTUNITY
FOR
INTERNET SKILLS TRAINING
LAST
CALL!
Many of you have IM’d*
me asking for help with everything from simple email
questions to web address and domain questions as
you’ve begun to accept the fact that the Internet is a
definite part of our lives and futures - whether we like
it or not.
To be helpless in reaching your community and helping
people in your congregations because you are ignorant of
computer and electronic-Internet skills is inexcusable.
It is easy to start small, and taking it a step
at a time, learn to understand the Internet, email and
how to build your own church web sites.
Through Sarah’s Tent, I’m offering training FREE for
those who are SERIOUS about learning new skills and
reaching out to others around the world.
I will teach you about email, navigating the Internet,
buying your own domain names, web hosting and how to
update – and build your own web sites.
With practical, hands on instruction and using
the various sections of Sarah’s Tent, it’s possible
to learn your skills without spending a fortune on
computer classes. This
beginning skills learning will help you to understand
what you have previously thought as overwhelming and
frightening and make it conquerable.
If you are interested in this opportunity, you will be
assigned one of the sections of Sarah’s Tent to begin
learning ‘on’ by developing it and learning how to
do regular maintenance and updates.
If you are already an expert and would like to volunteer
your talents in helping educate other ministers, I
whole-heartedly invite you to contact me as well.
Together we stand – divided we fall.
Don’t let your fears, or apathy prevent you from
becoming a presence and force in your communities.
Be a beacon of light – show the way.

A
Special Thank You
Every once in a while, someone will stop long enough to
drop me a line and thank me for Sarah’s Tent and the
Joy in the Kitchen newsletter.
In an even greater once in a while, someone will
write a special note and send it by snail mail including
an offering to help support Sarah’s Tent presence on
the web.
I can’t tell you how much these little notes mean to
me! Like
you, it’s easy to often feel isolated and wonder if
anything you are doing is benefiting anyone but you. Those
little notes of appreciation assure me that there still
are living, breathing people out there who enjoy my
efforts. To
those wonderful, thoughtful people I want to say THANK
YOU from the bottom of my heart! How I love you all –
even the silent ones.
I know there are seasons where it’s all you can
do to get up, let alone take the energy it takes to drop
a line. However,
when you think of it, please do – I love to hear from
you!
I’d like to add that there are other ministries on the
Internet who provide encouragement and support that you
visit and would like to hear from you too.
What you support – continues. What
you neglect will fade away.
Thank you for your support!
All my love,
Shannon
